What to Do in Central Florida This Week: October 28-November 3, 2026
Free Central Florida events October 28-November 3: a free lakefront yoga festival, Dia de los Muertos community celebrations, trunk-or-treats across the region, UCF's Space Game, free museum days, and the closing nights of Halloween season.
Your week ahead: October 28 through November 3, 2026
This is the weekly What to Do in Central Florida guide, written for homeowners who want a real weekend without a big bill: free festivals with live music, family Halloween events, volunteer gardening, farmers markets, plant-based gatherings, and free museum days. This edition covers Wednesday, October 28, through Tuesday, November 3, and it closes out Halloween season in style, with Halloween day and the Sunday after both packed with free choices.
For every event I state the honest cost. Where a ticket is required, you will see the price range and the official place to buy it. Where an event appears free, I say believed to be free and point you to the organizer's page to confirm, because details and tickets change without notice. One civic note frames the week: Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day in Florida, so build the parade of Halloween parties around a single trip to the polls.

Plant-based and wellness: the WFPB picks
Whole-food, plant-based, no-oil events are rare enough that I flag them whenever one appears. Charity rummage sales and thrift treasure hunts

A note from Justin
Halloween week is the proof that Central Florida does free better than almost anyone: a free lakefront yoga festival, free trunk-or-treats in every direction, a free live-band street party coming next Friday, and a free museum day to follow. Pick one free thing and go. And if you are home-hunting, use the events to test a neighborhood, because a Saturday morning at a farmers market or a Halloween block party tells you more about a street than any listing photo.
Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day, so find your polling place early, then close the week however you started it: outside, free, and with neighbors. When you are ready to talk schools, lake access, or what a move looks like, I answer within one business day at 407.704.0420. Being the bee to your home leader.
